Deregulation Decimated the Old Trucking Culture. Jerry Fritts, aka, Nookie Monster

Nearly 500 trucking companies, mostly unionized, have disappeared from the highways. Many of the employees that worked for these companies expected their employment to last a life time. Now 25 years later, many of these employees are nearing retirement, and we are sure these drivers and employees are looking back to the “great old teamster truckin' days”. We know now, it was a unique professional culture of it’s own.

Do you wonder what happened to your fellow drivers? Employees with past employers? Or about the many you might have CB-ed with in the “good old days”?

Then join us here at Retired Teamsters!

Not a Driver? Please feel free to still contact us and we will list you under your company. We welcome ALL teamsters. We are truly sorry for this oversight when creating this website.

Renew or develop friendships with drivers and employees from the great ole freight haulin' companies of the old teamster truckin' days . Since we are a brand new site, our pages are not yet full. If you are a retired, semi retired, or nearly retired teamster, we ask you to help us fill our pages with your wonderful teamster biographies! CLICK HERE and email us your story and photo and we will add you to our Teamsters Hall of Fame! And if you are a relative of a teamster who has since passed away, we welcome you to submit their photos and biographies as well. Our hopes in creating this site is to save for generations to come our rich teamster heritage, and to honor all of the great retired teamsters that we now so lovingly refer to as 'Fathers of the Modern Day Trucking Industry'.

Features:

  • Teamsters Hall of Fame
  • Events Page

Disclaimer: This site is not authorized by the Teamster Organization nor is it controlled by in any way by the teamsters unions. It truly has been constructed for the sole purpose of rekindling the friendships among just a bunch of old teamsters that fondly remember the unique old teamster para-trucking culture. This site will not ever take the place of local union websites, nor will it ever try. Our goal is to simply help bring retired teamsters together and save this rich teamster history for generations to come.
